Dr Neil Faulkner is a leading military historian, fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London, features editor of Current Archaeology and a lecturer for the National Association of Decorative and Fine Art Studies. In his capacity as a research fellow of Bristol University, he has written academically on a variety of archaeological and historical topics, and is co-director of the Great Arab Revolt Project. He also edits Military History Magazine.
Neil has published ten books alongside his academic papers, including Lawrence of Arabia's War, The Decline and Fall of Roman Britain, and A People's History of the Russian Revolution, described by Times Higher Education as a “valuable perspective on a world-shaking event”. His pamphlet, The Real History of the First World War, was a bestseller.
Neil makes frequent television appearances as a commentator and academic, and has so far featured on Timewatch, Time Team, and The World Today.
